While looking for movers in California recently, I noticed something pleasantly surprising: just about every company I came across offered a way to obtain a free and instant quote.

For me, this is a big deal. I hate having to call the moving company and listen to their sale's speech, and then have them argue with me if I choose not to take their service, etc. Not to mention, when you call, the price quote is usually the last piece of info they offer.

It is just a pain, and in the Internet age is really unnecessary. Fortunately, competition drives improved convenience, and I am glad to see this has happened in the moving industry.
